Vision Statement

The vision of STM Ministry is for our church to respond to the calling of our missionary identity through active participation in short-term missions. We desire for all to go out and be transformed by witnessing God’s heart for the nations, as well as supporting and interceding for our STM teams and missionary partners from our base in Los Angeles. These trips are formed with a focus on discipleship and relationship building so that our church members may learn to embody a consistent missional lifestyle in every season and circumstance.

Requirements to Apply

Tapestry LA Member

Regularly attends Sunday services and tithes

Part of a Rooted/Cell Group

Has been baptized* and in agreement with statement of faith

*not a requirement to go on STM

Experiencing God and/or Perspectives

Has taken or is currently taking Experiencing God and/or has taken Perspectives

Recommended to take EG every 3 years

2 corporate training Sessions reviewing the foundations of missions

Team-Specific Trainings

Team training sessions reviewing logistics, team building, spiritual formation, and fellowship

Additional Requirements

Max of 2 missed training sessions and they can’t both be all team trainings

There may be additional trainings/gatherings depending on your team leader and team needs
