What is an Elder?
At Tapestry LA, we believe God has entrusted the leadership of His church to a plurality of qualified, Spirit-filled men. Our 18-month Elder Training Cohort is designed to identify, develop, and commission shepherd-leaders who embody character, conviction, and courage in service to Christ and His church.
The elders of Tapestry LA Church are called to guard, guide, and shepherd the life of the church by overseeing three essential areas:
Direction – Discerning how God is leading our community and articulating the vision for the future.
Doctrine – Guide and teach the Scriptures with clarity, confronting false ideologies of our cultural moment, and cultivating maturity in holistic discipleship.
Discipline – Overseeing the spiritual health of the church through care, accountability, and restoration.
Elder Candidate Feedback Form
As part of our ongoing process of discerning new elders, we invite our church family to share feedback about the elder candidates being presented. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments for our Executive Team to prayerfully consider, please submit them using the link below. All feedback will be kept confidential and reviewed only by the Executive Team.
The feedback window will remain open for one week, closing on Sunday, November 9. After the window closes, the Executive Team will prayerfully review all submissions and thoughtfully discern the next steps.
