JOURNEY
OF COURAGE

This summer, we’re gathering the men of our AMI West Coast churches for a powerful weekend of worship, the Word, and brotherhood. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live with courage — not just in moments of pressure, but in the everyday battles of faith, family, leadership, and legacy.

We live in a time that calls for men of strength, clarity, and conviction. Courage isn’t something we muster up — it’s something that is cultivated and formed in His presence. Join us as we pursue this Journey of Courage together!

SPEAKERS

KEITH PARK

Pastor Emeritus at Church Of Southland and Church of Southland Chino

After pioneering ministries with several campus groups, as well as the ACTS Fellowship and Petra churches in Canada, Keith Park arrives at this point a well-traveled man with broad experience. An alumnus of Fuller Theological Seminary, he came to California with a strong commitment to a holistic approach to Christian service.

Never content to simply “go with the flow”, Keith Park is driven to lead a church that is clear in purpose – the salvation of souls and the inward/outward healing of broken people.

Young Kim was called into ministry while studying Bio-Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary and later completed a Master’s in Urban Missions at Westminster Theological Seminary.

Young planted Grace Covenant Church with a vision to build a multi-ethnic church that raises kingdom workers for God’s global harvest. He and his wife Annette are blessed with three children: Sarah, Daniel, and Isaiah.

God called Barry Kang to minister to college students, and he has been serving them ever since. He spent five years as the college pastor at the Church of Southland in Anaheim while earning his M.Div from Fuller Seminary. God led Barry and his family to Philadelphia, where he served as the Temple University site pastor at Grace Covenant Church and helped prepare a core team for a future church plant in Boston.

After two years of ministry and team-building, Barry, his wife Sunny, their two sons (Caleb and Micah), and six team members moved to Boston to plant Symphony Church.

GENERAL SESSIONS

GENERAL SESSIONS

Journey of Courage

1 Corinthians 16:13

Kickoff session unpacking the central charge — what it means to be watchful, rooted, courageous, and strong in a world that often pulls men toward passivity or pride. This sets the framework for the weekend’s journey.

Promise of God’s Presence

Joshua 1:1-9

God’s call to courage is always paired with His presence. We’ll look at how God empowers men to lead and obey when fear is real — and how presence fuels perseverance.

Journey of Caleb

Numbers 13–14, Joshua 14

Caleb models a faith that doesn’t fade — a long obedience in the same direction. This session will explore generational courage, holding onto God’s promises, and finishing strong.

David or Moses: Discerning the Season You’re In

Psalm 78:72, Exodus 3, Psalm 90

Not every man is in the same place. Some are in a wilderness season like Moses, others in a shepherding-to-king journey like David. This session helps men identify where they are, what God is forming in them, and how to respond with courage and humility in their unique season.
